INTRODUCTION

Baduanjin is a classical health preservation practice passed down from ancient China. It likely originated during the Song Dynasty (aroundthe12thcentury) and was further developed and popularized during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It was not created by any single individual but is the culmination of wisdom distilled from the practical experiences of health preservation masters and medical practitioners across generations. Deeply influenced by Traditional Chinese Medicine theory and Daoist health philosophies, it regulates the internal
circulation of qi and blood through gentle movements, breath control, and mental focus, achieving the goal of
preventing illness and strengthening the body.
